How to Grow Hope.
Giving supports our families' long-term success.
Giving is also the reason Drueding Center exists today.
Our residential building was always a place of Christian charity and support. Dating to the 1930s, the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer were asked by the Drueding family to staff the infirmary for employees of the Drueding family business. When the business relocated, the building was transformed into a nursing home. Sr. Kathryn Etchells, CSR, conducted a needs assessment and found that transitional housing for women and children did not exist in Philadelphia. The Drueding family graciously donated the building to the Sisters so that, in 1987, Project Rainbow, the city’s first transitional housing program for these populations, could open its doors.
Today, your gift to Drueding Center can continue this tradition of generosity and this spirit of giving. When you become an individual, corporate, or family foundation supporter, you become the means by which we can do more and give our families more. Your support allows our services to be personalized and intensive.
The results are dramatic. Destructive cycles are broken. Families see light at the end of the tunnel. Dreams are transformed into better lives. And our staff stays with these families, ensuring this change holds fast.
This section provides more information about how you can become part of this transformative process with gifts of time, goods, and financial resources. We always welcome your questions and further inquiries. Contact us at druedingcenter@holyredeemer.com or call us at (215) 769-1830.
