How often do we get to know anyone who has lived through both World Wars, The Great Depression, the end of equine transportation, the rise of air travel, space travel, and the introduction of computer technology we have today? Mrs. Olga Thomas arrived at Holy Redeemer Village 30 years ago and has been leading the residents ever since.
At Holy Redeemer Village, Olga Thomas was feted on July 20, 2011 as she turned 100. Olga is one of Redeemer Village’s original 1981 residents. She entered the complex a leader and never stopped welcoming new residents, connecting friends, and leading activities. Over the past 30 years, Olga has led bingo, worked in the gift shop, served on the resident council, taught line dancing, volunteered at the Hospital, and has become a pool shark and Wii expert. Her secret? “I don’t sit still, that’s for sure!” said Olga.
