Meadowbrook, PA—October 16, 2013—Holy Redeemer breast surgeons Beth DuPree, MD, Stacy Krisher, MD and Catherine Carruthers, MD were honored by The Professional Women's Roundtable (PWR) with the PoWeR Award on October 15, 2013. The surgeons lead Holy Redeemer’s Breast Health Program, and combine state-of-the-art surgical techniques with holistic, complementary therapies to help women and men prevent, treat, and recover from diseases of the breast. The Professional Women’s Roundtable is a non-profit providing networking, leadership, educational and personal growth opportunities to a diverse group of emerging women business leaders in the Greater Philadelphia region.
The PoWeR Award annually honors a woman or women in the Greater Philadelphia region who has shown a commitment to helping junior women advance in their careers, as well as a dedication to her profession and community.
The doctors' practice, Comprehensive Breast Surgeons, is located in Southampton, Bucks County. They strongly urge their patients to integrate healing therapies whether it is through clinical psychological therapy, spiritual assistance, grief counseling, exercise programs, reflexology, nutritional counseling, Reiki, Yoga, or massage, many of which are offered at their Southampton office. Dr. DuPree believes that "whatever it takes to help a person find healing and peace within should be an integral part of their treatment process."
Also honored at the event was The Healing Consciousness Foundation, created by DuPree to help breast cancer patients and survivors access helpful holistic therapies to help them in their healing journey.
Drs. DuPree, Krisher, and Carruthers are all Board Certified surgeons and fellows of the American College of Surgeons. Their practice is based in Bucks County and located at 45 2nd Street Pike, Southampton; they have additional offices in Bensalem and Langhorne, PA. In addition to treating patients, all three doctors speak on topics related to breast health and breast surgery, teach other surgeons, and serve as preceptors to physicians during their fellowships in breast surgery. They were pleased to welcome Amanda Woodworth, MD, a fellowship trained breast surgeon, to their practice in 2013.
