Holy Redeemer BreastCare Program Reaccredited
Philadelphia, PA – February 18, 2014 – For the second consecutive time, Holy Redeemer Hospital’s BreastCare Program has been awarded full, three-year accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).
NAPBC accreditation is the seal of approval from the American College of Surgeons and formally acknowledges a hospital’s commitment to providing the highest quality care to patients with breast disease. One NAPBC surveyor had this to say about Holy Redeemer: “One can feel the level of commitment that this group of physicians, nurses, counselors and administrators has to optimizing the patient care experience for all patients.”
“During the voluntary and rigorous survey process, Holy Redeemer had to demonstrate compliance with standards established by the NAPBC for treating women and men who are diagnosed with the full spectrum of breast disease,” said Beth DuPree, MD, FACS, ABIHM, Medical Director for Breast Health. The standards include proficiency in the areas of: center leadership, clinical management, research, community outreach, professional education, and quality improvement. A breast program that achieves NAPBC accreditation has demonstrated a firm commitment to offering its patients every significant advantage in their battle against breast disease.
Holy Redeemer’s BreastCare Program is led by DuPree and fellow board certified breast surgeons Catherine Carruthers, MD, FACS, Stacy Krisher, MD, FACS, and Amanda Woodworth, MD, and includes nurse navigators, genetic counselors, nurses, social workers, lymphedema specialists, specially qualified personal trainers, and access to holistic therapists who are available to enhance medical treatment. The program is centered at Holy Redeemer Women’s HealthCare at Southampton, 45 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, 215.633.3456.
The Holy Redeemer BreastCare Program combines the latest medical breakthroughs with holistic healing therapies. The program focuses on wellness, state-of-the-art cancer detection, treatment and holistic healing.
