Holy Redeemer Hospital Wound Care Center Community Open House

Meadowbrook, PA—January 16, 2013—Did you know that some people have wounds that just won’t heal? There is treatment available at Holy Redeemer Hospital’s Wound Care Center, which is hosting an open house for the public on Wednesday, February 20th, from 4-7 PM. The Wound Care Center located in Meadowbrook, PA on the campus of Holy Redeemer Hospital, in the Medical Office Building, Suite 206.
The open house features tours, information, refreshments and door prizes—including an iPad, a Bose SoundLink Bluetooth Mobile Speaker II, and a $100 AMEX gift card.
The Holy Redeemer Wound Care Center is a state-of-the-art facility for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of chronic or non-healing wounds.
The medical team, including surgeons and certified wound ostomy and continence nurses (CWOCNs), are experts on the latest techniques, pharmaceuticals and dressings shown to improve healing and prevent hospitalizations from wounds. Depending upon a patient’s needs, treatment may include a combination of interventions such as skin grafting, use of protective devices and surgical techniques or hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
On October 1st, Holy Redeemer added Hyperbaric Medicine to its outpatient treatment of adults with chronic wounds.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a proven medical treatment that enhances the body’s natural healing while strengthening the immune system. HBOT is a course of treatment used for various conditions and illnesses, including diabetic ulcers and other non-healing wounds. Holy Redeemer’s program features two hyperbaric chambers for patients.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is recognized as a successful adjunctive treatment by the American Medical Association, Medicare, and most commercial insurers.
