Holy Redeemer Moms Enjoy Special Treatment on Mother’s Day
Posted Date: 5/14/2012
Meadowbrook, PA—May 14, 2012—New mothers who had their babies at Holy Redeemer Hospital on Mother’s Day weekend received some extra pampering on Mother’s Day: every mom was offered a spa hand treatment.
“Becoming a mom is a beautiful life event any day,” said Marian Thallner, senior vice president, Holy Redeemer, “but to have a baby on Mother’s Day is extra special and we wanted to mark the occasion with a little something extra.” Four babies—all boys—were born at Holy Redeemer on Sunday.
The hand treatments are part of Holy Redeemer’s spa services, usually provided by appointment at Holy Redeemer Women’s Wellness Center, at 45 2nd Street Pike in Southampton. New moms received a mini-mani including cuticle treatment, nail shaping, and polish change. Mothers who had delivered already and/or had infants in the neonatal intensive care nursery (NICU) were offered the option of having the hand treatment Sunday or taking a certificate for later redemption at the Women’s Wellness Center. Moms who were still delivering on Sunday afternoon each received a certificate.
Holy Redeemer Hospital delivers approximately 2800 infants each year. The clinical team on the Maternity Unit works closely with obstetricians and neonatal pediatricians to ensure the best birth experiences for mother and baby. Holy Redeemer has a 19-bed Level III NICU, which is able to care for infants as young as 23 weeks gestation.
