Holy Redeemer to Host Breast Cancer Walk

Meadowbrook, PA—October 4, 2012—On Saturday, October 20th, 2012, Holy Redeemer will host its 3rd annual Big sMall Walk for Breast Cancer, a two-mile indoor walk, which will take place from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Oxford Valley Mall in Langhorne.

 

Dr. Beth DuPree, breast surgeon and Medical Director of Holy Redeemer’s Breast Health Program, will kick off the event with her colleagues Drs. Stacy Krisher and Catherine Carruthers of Comprehensive Breast Care Surgeons and Dr. William Scarlett of Bucks County Aesthetic Center. After the walk, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about proper breast health care from Holy Redeemer experts, win prizes, and get free makeovers courtesy of Macy’s.

Pre-registration is $10, and registration is $15 on the day of the event. All proceeds benefit the Charles A. and Betty Bott Cancer Center at Holy Redeemer Hospital.

 

The Oxford Valley Mall is located at 2300 Lincoln Highway, Langhorne, PA 19047. The Walk will begin at the First Floor Macy's Court.

The Charles A. and Betty Bott Cancer Center at Holy Redeemer Hospital, in conjunction with Holy Redeemer Women’s HealthCare at Southampton, offers compassionate care for which Holy Redeemer is known, state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment options, access to clinical trials, as well as integrative services and community educational and outreach programs and screenings. The Holy Redeemer Breast Health Program, which focuses on wellness, state-of-the-art cancer detection, treatment, and holistic healing, is headquartered at Holy Redeemer Women’s HealthCare at Southampton (PA). This unique center combines diagnostics, real-time read results, surgical consults, and complementary therapies to help heal the whole woman. Holy Redeemer BreastCare has earned several accreditations, including one for our exemplary delivery of breast care from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), and Accreditation with Commendation by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACoS CoC).
