Inpatient Hospice Care

strokeHoly Redeemer Hospital, in conjunction with Holy Redeemer Hospice, provides specialized care to patients and families facing end-of-life illness. At the inpatient hospice unit, an interdisciplinary staff collaborates to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual and pastoral care needs of terminally ill patients and their families. Our goal is to help each patient maintain dignity, comfort, and quality of life.

The Hospice Team

  • Hospice uses a team of registered nurses, counselors, social workers, home health aides, and volunteers to provide needed care.
  • A medical director is on call 24 hours-a-day for emergencies.
  • Hospice nurses focus on symptom management, patient comfort and pain control.
  • Hospice counselors and social workers provide emotional support, teach coping skills, and can help families who may need additional community resources.
