As a member of the NCI-designated University of Pennsylvania Cancer Network, patients and their families receive the compassionate care Holy Redeemer is known for, complemented by the resources and expertise of an academic medical center.
The Charles A. and Betty Bott Cancer Center at Holy Redeemer offers state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment options, including a linear accelerator for radiation therapy, IMRT and brachytherapy, and access to clinical trials. The facility also houses physician offices and a medical oncology unit for outpatient infusion, and is in close proximity to Holy Redeemer Hospital's 17-bed inpatient oncology unit. In addition, the facility also offers integrative services and community educational and outreach programs and screenings.
Staffed by Holy Redeemer's outstanding oncology certified nurses and radiation therapists, as well as a full-time radiation oncologist from the University of Pennsylvania Health System, the Center offers a wide range of cancer services in one centralized location:
- Diagnostic testing, including the use of CT scanning for treatment planning
- Treatment therapies, incuding chemo, radiation, infusion, IMRT, and brachytherapy
- On-site Interventional Radiologists
- Certified Oncology Nurses
- PET (Positron Emission Tomography)
- Lymphedema management
- Patient and Family Support Groups
- Prevention and Screening Programs
