REMARKS The Quality Management Data Abstractor supports the Atlas program as required by the Pennsylvania Health Cost Containment Council and internal program requirements as well as the JCAHO quality indicator database. This is achieved through the thorough reading, abstracting, and recording of key patient clinical findings used to accrue an aggregate database for Holy Redeemer Hospital & Medical Center. Data accuracy and timeliness is maintained to support the ongoing needs of internal quality review and care management systems as well as for reporting to outside agencies. The privacy of patient medical information is maintained.

REQUIREMENTS Strongly prefer individual currently trained as an Atlas Abstractor with recent work experience who is achieving 95% on Data Quality checks. Otherwise, Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technician, Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse preferred, or similar Allied Health Professional that has completed course work in Biology, Anatomy & Physiology and has working knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes and familiarity with the medical record. The Medical Staff Office Secretary/Assistant Credentialing Coordinator assists with all credentialing activity for the hospital, long term care facilities, transitional care unit and ambulatory surgery center. Coding Coordinator (Up to $4,000 SIGN ON BONUS ) - (590)
Location: Holy Redeemer Hospital & Medical Center

The Coding Coordinator has the responsibility of daily operations of all inpatient and outpatient coding and reimbursement within the Medical Record Dept. of the hospital. The Coding Coordinator will monitor daily coding productions, DNFB and Outpatient Exception Report as it relates to coding. The coding Coordinator will be responsible for the concurrent and retrospective monitoring of documentation quality for accurate coding and will provide educational feedback to care providers related to coding guidelines and documentation specificity. It will be the responsibility of the Coding Coordinator to review medical record documentation and monitor the appropriateness of physician queries with the overall goal of improving physician documentation through physician education and feedback. The Coding Coordinator will serve on hospital committees for documentation purposes and coding related issues. The Coding Coordinator works in conjunction with the Director on policies, procedures, job descriptions, job evaluations, budget planning, budget monitoring, staffing and training of new employees. The computerized medical record will offer opportunities and challenges to the Coding Coordinator. The Coding Coordinator performs duties in support of the Medical Center mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner.

REQUIREMENTS Registered Health Information Administrator, or Registered Health Information Technician, or Certified Coding Specialist Certification. Must have a strong background in all inpatient and outpatient coding and reimbursement systems. A strong background in ICD-9 and CPT-4 Coding and Classification Systems, Anatomy, Physiology, Clinical Medicine and Medical Terminology is required. Supervisory experience of 2 years or more in an acute care hospital setting. Experience in Alternative settings is helpful. Summary:

Providing routine and emergency Respiratory Therapy procedures in all areas of the hospital for Adult, Pediatric, and Neonatal patients.

Assembling, operating, and monitoring all types of Respiratory Therapy equipment.

Recruitment Requirements:

Current PA State Respiratory Care Practitioner License.

N.B.R.C. Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).

Graduate of a one, two or four year AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Program.

Minimum of three years experience in all types of adult, pediatric, and neonatal respiratory therapy procedures.

Minimum of one year experience in Adult Pulmonary Rehabilitation procedures.

Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Current CPR certification.

Ability to work various shifts and/or on-call hours when required.

Ability to push/pull large pieces of equipment.

Ability to lift/reach monitors and other small pieces of equipment.

Immediate openings for PER DIEM positions. The Med Tech will perform Generalist duties. Demonstrates ability and knowledge to independently perform and interpret clinical laboratory tests, both automated and manual, within established time frame with accuracy and precision. Is able to perform multiple tasks such as: Phlebotomy, Quality Performance activities, quality control procedures, ordering, computer functions and other duties as assigned. REMARKS Functions to support and assist pharmacists in the provision of the various aspects of pharmacy service involving clerical, computer and technical related activities which require on-the-job orientation, training and supervision. Receives practical experience qualifying under the State Board of Pharmacy requisites for internship in preparation for meeting the requirements of eligibility to qualify for taking the examination to become a Registered Pharmacist. Duties and responsibilities comply with legal, regulatory and hospital requirements. Employment is usually for a limited period of approximately two years after which a Registered Pharmacist position is sought. Provides staffing during times when not engaged in academic pursuits to meet service needs and to obtain internship experience. Experience gained makes incumbent a preferred candidate for staff pharmacist consideration.

REQUIREMENTS An enrollee or accepted applicant in a School of Pharmacy in pursuit of an academic degree in Pharmacy and the intent to become a Registered Pharmacist, possesses propensity of paying attention to details and performing a variety of activities involving the use of a typewriter/computer keyboard and manipulative tasks. Summary: Reviews the contents of the medical record to identify and assign the appropriate diagnoses and procedures to be coded according to the ICD-9-CM and CPT4 coding classification systems. Each medical record will be reviewed for additional diagnoses and procedures such as complications and/or comorbid conditions that would impact the assignment of a (DRG) Diagnostic Related Group or an (APC) Ambulatory Payment Classification. Assists the facility in obtaining appropriate reimbursement based on industry standards and coding guidelines. Performs duties in support of the Medical Center mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner. Conducts monthly Quality Monitors to access coding accuracy at the 95% rate. Also assist in development of educational programs for all coding staff on an ongoing basis.
