How do you know if you've found the right pediatrician?
Do a bit of research; ask the right questions, and you're sure to find the right pediatrician for your family. Here are some helpful suggestions:

Schedule an interview: First, get a sense of the office environment. Is the receptionist helpful and friendly? Do the parents in the waiting room seem exasperated because they've been waiting too long?

When you meet the pediatrician ask specific questions about the practice:

Availability — are the office hours convenient? Who provides coverage when the pediatrician is away? How does the doctor handle phone calls?

Hospital privileges — Where would your child be hospitalized, if necessary? Does the hospital allow 24-hour parent visitation? Are there overnight accommodations for parents?

Personality — Does the pediatrician make you feel at ease? Do you think your child will like this doctor?

Financial matters — what is the pediatrician's payment policy? Will the office help you with insurance forms?

Are you getting direct answers to your questions? If not, this may be the wrong pediatrician for you.
