Pediatric Rehab Team Hosts "Special Memories with Santa"

Holy Redeemer Pediatric Rehabilitation Department transformed into Santa’s Workshop and held its fifth annual Special Memories with Santa event this month. Our very own Carl Kammerle volunteered his time to play Santa. Emily Willard, who is a Speech-Language Pathology Student at Salus University completing her externship in the Pediatric Rehabilitation Department, assisted Santa as his Elf. Families and friends of the Pediatric Rehabilitation Department were invited to schedule individual appointments with Santa, as an alternative to waiting in lines at a crowded mall. The families were captured the moments on their cameras, free of charge. The children were sent home with special keepsakes from Santa and his elves, including reindeer food, snowman soup, a toy, and a photo of Santa.

Holy Redeemer's Pediatric Rehabilitation Department specializes in caring for children with a variety of conditions—from acute orthopedic injuries, to more chronic developmental delays, learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders. Click here to learn more.
