Holy Redeemer Cancer Care Receives Heart “Warming” Donation

On June 26, Holy Redeemer’s Charles A. & Betty Bott Cancer Center received a very generous donation of 80 soft Pottery Barn blankets for patients undergoing chemotherapy. The donation was a part of Colonial Subaru and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s “Subaru Loves to Care” initiative. Subaru of America, Inc. and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society are committed to impacting positively the communities where they live and work. They partner to send hope, love and warmth to patients fighting cancer.

Holy Redeemer patients will also receive handwritten “Gestures of Hope” notes from Colonial Subaru customers, wishing each patient strength and love on their cancer journey.

“Thank you, this means a lot,” Michelle Green, a current patient said upon receiving the blanket. “It will be put to good use.”

The Holy Redeemer Cancer Team will distribute the blankets to incoming chemotherapy patients throughout the coming weeks. Thank you to Subaru and the Leukemia & Lymphoma society for this wonderful gift.
