Compassionate Pediatric Rehabilitation

Holy Redeemer Pediatric Rehabilitation provides physical, occupational and speech therapy for children. Conveniently located on the campus of Holy Redeemer Hospital, our expert therapists conduct a comprehensive evaluation to develop an individualized treatment plan for each child. Both individual and group therapy are available. We work closely with the patient and family to continue the success at home and provide the best possible outcomes.

Personalized Care for Your Child

Our dedicated pediatric rehabilitation therapists have experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses including; orthopedic injuries, post concussion syndrome, developmental delays, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders and more. We match your child with a therapist that best suits your child’s specific needs and whenever possible your child will see the same therapist for the duration of the treatment plan. Our therapists have an average of 16 years of experience and we foster a warm, friendly, calm environment that is welcoming to all of the children we serve.

Core Programs include:
  • Pediatric physical therapy improves a child’s strength, balance, motor control and fitness. We use exercise and play activities to help children practice important skills, such as rolling, crawling, sitting, walking, jumping and running.
  • Pediatric occupational therapy promotes fine motor and visual motor/perceptual development and address feeding and sensory processing difficulties. Our goal is for your child to be able to participate in school, play and self-care skills with greater independence.
  • Pediatric speech therapy helps children develop the skills to successfully communicate with their families, teachers, classmates and interact in the community. Redeemer speech language pathologists treat a child’s articulation, oral-motor skills, language, voice and fluency.
Our Specialized Programs include:
  • The Listening Program – Redeemer’s programs use music with specific sound patterns to assist children with integration of multi-sensory information.
  • NICU Follow-Up Clinic – This screening program is for infants who were in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and are at high risk for developmental delay due to conditions, such as prematurity, neurologic abnormality or neonatal meningitis. We evaluate motor, cognitive and communication skills and recommend interventions when appropriate.
  • Therapeutic Groups – Redeemer offers these programs as needed for children of all ages and abilities. They run for 6-8 weeks and include Sensory Motor Group, Social Group, Handwriting Group and Yoga Group.
  • Interactive Metronome – An interactive program which the patient uses headphones, a computer screen and a rhythmic beat to perform a variety of exercises to help improve timing and processing in order to address difficulties with attention, sensory-motor skills and communication.
  • Lidcombe Program – An evidence-based program designed to treat young children who experience stuttering.
