Getting You Back to Your Day to Day

Holy Redeemer Medical Office Building
1650 Huntingdon Pike, Suite 206, Meadowbrook, PA 19046

Holy Redeemer Wound Care is offered in a dedicated outpatient center specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, management and prevention of chronic and non-healing wounds. Challenging wounds can be the result of surgery, reduced mobility, burns or radiation therapy. They can also affect patients with diabetes, peripheral artery disease or vascular disease. For short-term wound care or care for a recurring problem, our integrated team provides restorative, personalized care.

Our Wound Care Approach is Individualized

Wounds can be a problem when they don’t improve after 4 weeks, or remain unhealed after 8 weeks. But, personalized, integrated care can promote healthier results. Our surgeons and certified nurses, along with your primary care physician, co-create a wound care program based on your needs. Your first meeting is always with a specialty physician. Trained in evaluating non-healing wounds, our physician may recommend blood work, wound cultures or radiology studies. After analyzing the test results we then devise a personalized wound care program that may include:

  • Innovative dressings and topicals
  • Steps to control infection
  • Family-oriented nutrition, lifestyle and hygiene tips
  • Edema control to relieve painful swelling
  • Removal of unhealthy tissue
  • Skin grafting/substitution to promote healthy tissue growth
  • Surgery for more challenging cases

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

We also offer several FDA-approved treatments, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). HBOT is a supervised medical therapy where a high dose of oxygen is delivered to your body while under increased atmospheric pressure. This is achieved by breathing 100% oxygen while you are inside a pressurized chamber. Research has shown that certain wounds respond well when the body is saturated regularly with extra oxygen. Patients who undergo HBOT may experience reduced swelling, increased infection resistance and accelerated healing.
